Kev 'Legs' Walker has a background in music, having played in a couple of local bands, before concentrating on broadcasting.

Kev stepped in when the original lead presenter of Midweek Blues left to pursue an academic career. Together with fellow presenter Jen, they created a unique show that didn't take itself seriously, but demonstrated a real appreciation of the music.

A move in the schedule meant it became Monday Morning Blues and, when Jen left, it changed again to the show you can now hear on a Sunday evening between 8 & 10pm

Over the years Legs has interviewed hundreds of people from countless places. In recent years, to demonstrate the international nature of the blues, he has chatted to people from Nepal, Brazil, Austria, India, and many more.

Having travelled to the deep south of America (home of the delta blues) more than once, he can talk about the music and places from having experience of them, and meeting the people who make the music.

A member of The Blues Foundation (who organise the International Blues Challenge and Blues Music Awards) he may not have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the genre, but you can tell he loves the music.
